芭芭拉·凱勒曼（Barbara Kellerman）哈佛大學肯尼迪政府學院公共領導中心研究主任，在耶魯大學獲得政治科學博士學位。她撰寫了許多關於領導、統治和決策的著作和論文。
凱勒曼經常在CBS 、NBC上拋頭露面，在《紐約時報》以及《哈佛商業評論》經常有所建言，對於領導，管理有著多年的研究，早先寫出過風靡一時的《糟糕的領導力》一書，人們都認為講將領導力都應該從積極樂觀的角度來探討，而凱勒曼卻扔出一個“糟糕的領導” 於是凱勒曼給人們留下了特別的印象。

2005年3月受邀作為中國浦東幹部學院首屆“國際領導論壇”主旨發言人後，國際領導學權威、哈佛大學肯尼迪政府學院的芭芭拉·凱勒曼(Barbara Kellerman)撰寫了一篇文章，題為《中國領導學的陰與陽》(Yin and Yang of Leadership in China)。
文章指出，在瞬息萬變的中國，公共和私人領域的領導人既需要向前看，也需要找到與捍衛傳統者或逾越古今共存的平衡點。
更有趣的，是文章還配上展示浦東幹部學院建築的照片，其圖說指出該建築既具時代感又顯得傳統，主建築像中國的傳統書桌、筆筒，代表了儒家傳統，通體的鮮紅則讓人想到中華文化，並聯想到共產主義。
Barbara Kellerman is the James MacGregor Burns Lecturer in Public Leadership at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. She was the Founding Executive Director of the Kennedy School's Center for Public Leadership, from 2000 to 2003; and from 2003 to 2006 she served as the Center's Research Director. She is author and editor of many books and articles on leadership. Her latest book is Followership: How Followers Create Change and Change Leaders. For the period 2007-2008, she is ranked by Leadership Excellence 6th on the list of the 100 "best minds on leadership."
