双日株式会社,是日本具有代表性的综合商社之一,在世界各地发挥着丰富多样的机能。长期以来,为振兴产业、提高各国人民的生活水平作出了贡献,尤其与中国建立了密切的合作关系。
双日创建于1892年。其前身是以进口棉花为目的而设立的“日本绵花株式会社”。创业不久就开发从事中国棉花的交易,于1903年在上海开设了第一家分公司。此后,双日不仅进口棉花,还开展转口贸易、建立纺织厂等,在中国各地积极地开展了各种事业活动。
新中国成立后,又是双日最早探索了恢复日中贸易的道路。
为了不辜负中国方面的殷切期待和信任,双日充分发挥了综合性商社的多方面机能。不仅致力于进出口业务,并且在开发大型农场、建设各种产业成套设备以及设立合资公司等方面,积极地开展了各种事业活动。

双日株式会社是日本6大综合商社之一,于2004年4月1日由两家具有百年以上历史、且在世界500强中均名列前茅的公司——日商岩井株式会社与日绵株式会社正式合并而成。目前在中国共有12家法人公司与事务所,投资各类三资企业100多家,年对华贸易额达50亿美元。
he Sojitz Group was essentially formed through the business integration between Nichimen Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation, two companies with over a century of history. This business integration took shape in December 2002 and was followed on April 1, 2003, by the incorporation of a joint holding company. As a public listed company, this holding company was incorporated to pursue business integration, management supervision and comprehensive disclosure. Heralding a new era, the principal operating arms of the Group, Nichimen Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation were merged to form a new single entity, Sojitz Corporation on April 1, 2004.
On October 1, 2005, we completed the final phase of business integration through the merger of the holding company and Sojitz Corporation. Under the name Sojitz Corporation, we will continue to establish a structure to facilitate efficient and prompt decision making, and a highly transparent management framework befitting an innovative functionoriented trading company. As a sogo shosha actively engaged in global business, we will endeavor to further increase Group corporate value.
- Apr. 2003,Nissho Iwai - Nichimen Holdings Corporation established through the transfer of shares by Nichimen Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation. The Company's shares listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Osaka Securities Exchange
- Apr. 2004,Nichimen Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation, both wholly owned subsidiaries of Nissho Iwai - Nichimen Holdings Corporation merged to form a new company, Sojitz Corporation
- Jul. 2004,Company changed its name to Sojitz Holdings Corporation
- Oct. 2005 ,Merged with Sojitz Corporation and changed company name to Sojitz Corporation
