2009《福布斯》全球上市公司2000强,The World's 2,000 Largest Public Companies 2009

　　美国杂志《福布斯》于2009年4月8日公布了“2009年全球上市公司2000强”排行榜。该杂志根据公司的销售收入、市值、总资产和利润四项指标综合打分，评选出引领各自行业的全球顶尖企业列表。

　　中国有91家企业入选，中国工商银行位列第12，是排名最高的中国企业。联想列1114位，中兴通讯列1527位，腾讯列1535位，百度列1962位。

Whether due to merger, acquisition or poor results, these companies are not on the 2009 Forbes Global 2000.

Business today is global, and mergers and acquisitions are often global as well. The first table below shows notable 2008 Global 2000 companies acquired or disqualified during the past 12 months. Cross-border merger deals account for several of these changes. For instance, Belgium brewer InBev merged with Anheuser-Busch in November 2008.

Other reasons for a loss of Global 2000 status? Formerly the 97th-largest company in the world, Lehman Brothers ( LEHMQ - news - people ) fell into bankruptcy, while the weakness in the financial markets led to governments nationalizing some big banks, such as Ireland's Anglo Irish Banks and Iceland's Kaupthing Bank. Companies must have a publicly traded stock in order to qualify for the Global 2000.

Our second table shows former Global 2000 companies that are still public, but their 2008 financial performance did not earn them a spot in 2009. We rank companies on their composite score for sales, profits, assets and market value. Our table shows where these drop-offs would rank if we extended the list beyond 2000 companies. For instance, Newell Rubbermaid ( NWL - news - people ), would be ranked 2050 overall. Its strong points are $6.5 billion sales and $6.8 billion assets, but a loss of $52 million and market value falling to $1.6 billion kept this household furnishings company off the 2009 list.
